Joss Saville - Own a racehorse

The sport of Horseracing has never been as vibrant as it is at present, with the horse population and the number of race meetings expanding every year.

Racehorse ownership has for many decades been limited to those who could afford the large sums involved in buying, and then training a racehorse. However, in the last ten years there has been a shift in the numbers of people becoming involved in the sport - principally due to new ways of enjoying an interest in a racehorse.

Benefits of owning a racehorse:

Raceday privileges: Experiencing the thrill of ownership including entry badges, exclusive owners facilities, special viewing areas etc

The thrill of being a racehorse owner and socialising with other people in the racing industry including members of the racehorse owners association.

Appearance money

A payment will be made to the owner when their horse has started in races qualifying for appearance money usually sunday racing and usually approx £130

Corporate Entertaining

The VAT scheme; Owning a racehorse is VAT and TAX deductible for individual owners and syndicates etc

Options available for owning a racehorse:

There are now virtually limitless schemes to enable people to enjoy owning a horse.

Corporate – The horse(s) can be a legitimate business expense and are VAT deductible.

Sole – If you want to keep the horse in the family.

Partnerships – A small group of friends joining together

Syndicate – Racehorse Syndicates are available from 2 – 40 people and costs can be as little as £20 per month per person.

With an Owners entry badge, exclusive owners facilities, special viewing areas etc You will experience all the thrills of ownership as you watch your own horse race and possibly win bringing you:-

The chance to entertain friends and business contacts plus meeting people from the world of racing.

At the Yard

As an owner you will always receive a warm and friendly welcome at Gisburn Park. You will be kept fully informed of your horse’s progress and its racing future.
